How many peanuts and mints do I need for a party of 100 people?

We are planning a party for my grandfather’s 80th birthday. We plan on having salted peanuts and those party mints, along with cake and punch and coffee. We are figuring between 75 and 100 people will show up. The party will be from 2-4pm on a Sunday. We were just trying to determine how much of the salted peanuts and party mints we should have. If there is extra of either one we are fine with that but we are just worried that we may run out. We found a 38 ounce container or peanuts and the largest thing of mints was 15 ounces. Approximately how many of each of those should we buy? Thanks.

I am planning my daughter’s first birthday party, either a princess or hawaiian-florally theme. I can find many things for children to keep them entertained, but not for adults. I want the adults to enjoy the party as well. Any gift bags or games etc ideas would be helpful….
I meant about the gift bags: What kind of goodies could I provide for the adults, as well as children in them? Games: I meant for the children…I had a thought about the older children making playdoe flowers for the floral party…

how do you throw a good tiki party?

I’m planning to throw an outdoor tiki party in a few weeks. I am somewhat familiar with the tiki era of the late 50’s/early 60’s and I want the party to stay faithful to that vibe. In other words, it’s not supposed to be a “luau”, or a beach party. It’s tiki. Think lounges, pufferfish, fruity drinks with lots of gaudy garnish, and an underlying current that reflects and recaptures that spirit of that time: carefree, laid back, indulgent. I’m open to any suggestions. Thanks!

What Chicago Hotels are good for a bachelor party?

I am planning a bachelor party for Aug. 25 and we are getting a stripper to come to our hotel room. Now we need a hotel room. The bachelor party will have 8 guys. I need suggestions for a hotel that has a suite that can house guys expecting a stripper and I need enough room to sleep 8 guys. All the guys are in their mid-20s so I’d like to keep the suite under $300 if possible.
